Françoise Dugourd-caput vit et travaille au pays basque.
Peintre autodidacte, née en 1954 en Algérie. Dès son plus jeune âge, le dessin a été son refuge, la peinture sa ressource quand, adulte, elle a consacré sa vie à sa famille et à son travail d'infirmière puis de psychothérapeute.
Elle a développé sa technique, d'abord figurative, puis s’est tournée vers l'abstraction lyrique, sensible et émotionnelle, tout en partageant des moments d’échanges en ateliers associatifs, où sa technique s’est affirmée.
Elle traduit sa vision d'un monde intérieur gai et optimiste, apportant lumière et joie à travers des explosions de couleurs, des fondus doux et contrastés, des mouvements forts et enveloppants. Son expression artistique se partage entre son interprétation abstraite des merveilles que nous offre la nature, et son approche de l’expression émotionnelle de l’être humain, à travers le portrait, approchant ainsi l’essence et l’authenticité de ses modèles.

Self-taught painter, born in 1954 in Algeria. From an early age, drawing was her refuge, painting its resources when adult, she has devoted her life to her family and her work as a nurse and psychotherapist.
She developed her technique, first figurative then turned to lyrical abstraction, sensitive and emotional, while sharing moments of trade associations in workshops, where the technique is established.
It reflects her vision of a world within gay and optimistic, bringing light and joy through explosions of colors, soft and melted contrasting movements strong and enveloping. Her artistic expression is shared between the abstract interpretation of the wonders that nature offers us, and her approach to the emotional expression of the human being, through portraiture, thus approaching the essence and authenticity of its models."
